FE7: Morphs and Genitalia

I was asked if Ephidel had a penis. DO NOT GET ME STARTED ON DICKS. I will try to make this headcanon as unconvoluted and not-long-winded as possible but I really love talking about dicks okay. Vags and tits can come too.

Now: Does Ephidel have a penis? (And further, do FE7 morphs have genitalia?) There are many options here, but two main ones.

Option 1: Morphs are sustained wholly on magical energy and do not need to eat, drink, or sleep. Their bodies house quintessence instead of organs, making their external appearance a shell. They are sparkly magic beings and are most likely about as anatomically correct as a Ken doll, Sonia notwithstanding because she has to boink Brendan. Something tells me that Sonia and Brendan’s relationship was not built on her giving him blowjobs on command. In this case, Ephidel and Limstella would not have genitalia, but Sonia would. In fact, in all cases Sonia has genitalia. Because Brendan. Sonia is also the only morph shown with tits. Go look at Limstella’s official art. I’ll wait.

Yes, Ephidel is wearing a giant fucking robe. That’s okay. Ephidel presents as and is treated as male for the course of the game.

So, Option 1: Does Ephidel have a penis? No.

Option 2: Morphs’ bodies function like that of a regular human’s, requiring food, water, and sleep. This requires all of the necessary organs for the entire digestive system and since bodies like that whole multifunctional thing, morphs would have genitalia. What kind? Most likely male, save Special Sparkly Sonia, who obviously was convinced she was a normal human female. I say male because these morphs are used in combat, and if they gotta go, it’s better to have the point-and-shoot type of waste disposal than the squat-and-sigh type. Gotta say, in a combat situation, having a dick to piss out of is a lot more convenient. Quicker, too. Yes this means I’m saying Limstella would have a dick too. I am also entertaining the idea of a super multifunctional waste disposal system like a fucking cloaca or something just because the idea is fucking hilarious to me for some reason.

Option 2: Does Ephidel have a penis? Yes. Possibly a cloaca.

Option 3: A mix of the two previous arguments; morph bodies are nothing more than containers for quintessence, and the average morph is asexual. However, Sonia’s need to at least function sexually means that she has to have both the primary and secondary sex characteristics of the gender she’s presenting as: female. In that same vein, Ephidel does a lot of fraternizing with humans. A creepy guy running around doing underhanded things looks a whole damn lot weirder if he doesn’t eat or drink, so he needs the ability to eat, drink, and sleep like a regular human to keep from drawing too much attention to himself. In this case and in this world, I would say that Ephidel would need to present as male for a more powerful presence, politically speaking. Limstella is stated as being Nergal’s most powerful morph, but because Limmy doesn’t interact much with humans, there’s no need to blend in — so Limmy has no genitalia and is instead full to the brim with ass-kicking levels of quintessence.

Option 3: Does Ephidel have a penis? Yes.

Option 4: Magic morphs have magic genitalia and can have whatever they want whenever they want. Schrödinger’s cock. Go for it. Does Ephidel have a penis? Yes, if he wants to.

Option 5: You’re writing porn. Anyone can have a penis. EVERYONE can have a penis. Does Ephidel have a penis? SURE. GIVE HIM TWO.

Little mini-thoughts:

-Morphs may be asexual but not agender; Limstella seems to present more strongly as female, with an -a suffix on her name; combat morphs seem to present more strongly as male, and I can’t remember if there were Peg Knight morphs, but they would have to present as female for the Pegasi to accept them.

-Limstella’s presentation as female despite her lack of breasts could also mean that trans* morphs could exist; created with male genitalia but identify and present as female.

-Limstella also actually is never given a gendered pronoun in-game, so Limmy (and all non-Sonia non-Ephidel morphs) may actually be asexual and agender.

-There is also the possibility that morphs could also be hermaphrodites because why the fuck not, I’ve already mentioned morph cloaca in this post. Here, take all my random-ass ideas.

Personally, I think Ephidel has a dick. But that’s because I think dicks are fucking awesome.
